Rules

We will follow National Federation rules.

  • District and State Tournaments are Double Elimination Events
  • Top six placers at DISTRICTS and top eight places at the State Tournaments will receive awards.
  • All district weigh-ins begin at 7 a.m. and end at 8:30a.m. with wrestling beginning at 10:00 am. Early weigh in times may be different for each district. Check your specific district for early weigh in times and dates.
  • Doctor’s skin note needed if questioned. (Click for skin form)
  • Headgears must be worn by all participants.
  • Any un-sportsmanlike conduct by a person present at an OAC event may result in a penalty up to and including a one-year ban from any OAC event. If the un-sportsman act is by a coach, parent, family member or anyone connected to a particular wrestler the ban could also include the wrestler.
  • After the one year ban the person(s) in violation must request in writing to be reinstated before they would be permitted back in any OAC event. A second offense could result in a lifetime ban from any OAC event.
